Ecommerce Developer

About the Role

  • Your role is to develop, fix, and optimize ecommerce stores so they are fast, reliable, and built to convert.
  • You are responsible for the technical quality and performance of every store you work on. This includes ensuring smooth user journeys, stable functionality, and strong mobile experience.
  • This role requires attention to detail and a clear understanding of how technical execution impacts conversion and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ecommerce stores using platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce
  • Optimize page speed, structure, and checkout flows to support higher conversion rates
  • Integrate tracking tools, third-party apps, and APIs with full accuracy
  • Identify and resolve bugs or technical issues quickly to avoid performance or revenue impact
  • Ensure all stores are optimized for mobile performance and usability
  • Follow internal development standards for clean, scalable, and well-documented code
  • Collaborate with design and operations teams to deliver fully functional and aligned stores

Performance Expectations

  • Fast-loading pages with strong mobile performance
  • Stable and error-free user experience across all key flows
  • Accurate tracking and integrations with no data loss
  • Reliable checkout experience with no technical blockers

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience building ecommerce stores (Shopify, WooCommerce)
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization and technical SEO fundamentals
  • Experience integrating third-party tools, plugins, and APIs
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Able to work within structured processes and quality standards

Growth Path

This role can evolve into a Senior Ecommerce Developer or Ecommerce Technical Lead based on performance, reliability, and contribution to store performance.
